On a side note, be careful with daily cleaner products like ammonia and glass scrub as they can slowly damage the natural granite and wear away the sealant. Try something like our Easy Oxy or GT-1 as a daily cleaner instead. So, don’t settle for anything less than a stunning countertop when you can easily revive its shine and luster.
For Professional Use Only. Results and effectiveness will vary based on stone condition and type. This product is designed to restore shine to granite surfaces. The granite must be in a “Ready-To-Polish” state before using MB–20. In some cases, abrasives and/or diamond refinishing may be necessary to achieve desired results. Preparation:
- Mask off the surrounding area to protect surrounding surfaces from any product or splatters.
- Wear personal protective equipment like glasses and gloves.
- Clean the surface from any dirt, debris, etc with a pH-neutral cleaner like MB-5 or Easy Oxy.
Step 1:
- Attach the adapter to a variable-speed grinder/polisher or hand drill.
- Use the supplied 5-inch snail lock adapter to attach the pad driver.
- Place the hogs hair pad on the driver. Either side up is fine.
Step 2:
- Add a teaspoon of the Granite Polishing Cream and a tablespoon of water to the surface.
- Concentrate the product in a 2 square foot area.
- Place the drill’s hogs hair pad directly on top of the product.
Step 3:
- Begin polishing the surface by applying a slight firm pressure to the polishing cream with the drill.
- Spread it out gradually on a slow speed.
- As the product begins to dry out, increase the speed and reduce the pressure.
- Different speeds and pressure may be needed depending on the stone.
- Review your results and repeat as necessary.
Step 4:
- If you notice swirls or other marks made by the polish, replace the hogs hair pad with a white pad and add a spritz of water on the surface.
- Polish the area again starting with a slow speed gradually increasing to a higher speed.
