Stone Care Sample Kit

Preparation:

1. Read the safety data sheet completely before use (found on the More Information tab above).
2. Make sure the surface is dry and free from soils, waxes, sealers, and/or coatings.

Directions:

Step 1: GT-1

• Hold sprayer about 6 to 8 inches from surface.
• Spray a light mist over the area to be cleaned.
• Buff the surface dry with a paper towel or a clean white cloth.
• When towel becomes wet, discard and start with a fresh one.

Step 2: MB-11® (Find how-to video here.)

• Use rubber gloves. Grab a clean white cloth or microfiber and fold it twice to make 4 layers. Wrap it tightly around your fingers/knuckles. Hold the loose portion of the towel in your hand so that it stays out of the way while you work. Dampen the wrapped fingers by spritzing them with water. Remove any excess water as you want your cloth damp, not wet.
• Tap your damp cloth into the powder in the jar to get a THIN layer on your wrapped fingers/knuckles. There should be a consistent layer of powder, but no excess flaking off.
• Rub the affected area vigorously with the wrapped fingers in a back-and-forth motion. This should be done quickly and with a lot of pressure. After about 10 back-and-forth motions, finish up with a few circular motions.
• If you have any residue left do NOT wipe it away with the cloth until you have neutralized it with a pH-neutral cleaner like our MB-5. Use the loose part of the towel to wipe away the paste in a single motion. Spray the spot with a pH-neutral cleaner and buff clean with a SECOND microfiber cloth. Do NOT use the same cloth used to apply the product.
• Inspect the repaired area and repeat the process with the same cloth as necessary. Adding more water if needed.

Step 3: MB-24 Barrier (Find how-to video here.)

• Liberally apply an even coat on the surface being treated using a lambswool applicator, paint brush, low-pressure sprayer, or spray bottle.
• Allow the sealer to soak into the stone’s surface for up to 30 minutes while moving the sealer around to avoid drying on the surface during dwell time. Stone surfaces will have different rates of porosity. If the sealer absorbs into the surface in under 10 minutes, multiple applications will be needed. Repeat the process until the sealer stays wet on the surface for more than 15 minutes. 
• DO NOT ALLOW EXCESS SEALER TO DRY ON THE SURFACE. After the sealer has remained wet on the surface for approximately 20 minutes, you must remove all sealer and residue from the surface with a dry cloth or towel.
• Should any residue be left or dried on the surface, you may be able to remove it by applying a light coat of sealer to the affected area and buff it off using a clean cloth. 
• We recommend that you complete the first application of the entire surface in manageable sections, so the sealer does not dry on the surface. For countertops, we recommend working 7 to 8 linear-foot sections. For floors, 50 to 100 square foot sections.
• Complete one section and then overlap the following section using steps 3-5 until the entire surface has been sealed. At this point, all excess sealer and residue should have been removed from the first application. Perform a second application, if needed. 

Step 4: Finito Ultimate

• Spray Finito Ultimate Spray Polish misting it evenly over the surface.
• Wipe and buff in with a microfiber, or other soft cloth.
• After the product has been spread evenly, flip the cloth over and buff dry.

For large countertops or stone surfaces, MB-11 is NOT recommended and the Finito Ultimate Spray Polish may be buffed in with a low-speed (600 RPM) machine and a wool bonnet, or white pad. All are available at MB Stone, just give us a call at 888-509-5831.
